For Public Comment: Texas GLO Posts Amendment 4 to the Mitigation State Action Plan


The amendment includes the following changes: Housing Oversubscription Supplemental, Hazard Mitigation Plans Program, Resilient Communities Program

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas Today the Texas General Land Office (GLO) posted Amendment 4 to the state action plan for $4.3 billion in Community Development Block Grants Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) for a federally required 30-day public comment period.

The amendment includes the following changes:
  • Housing Oversubscription Supplemental: Expands eligible participants to include Harris County and City of Houston Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP) applicants. Unexpended funds from the Resilient Home Program will be reallocated to the Housing Oversubscription Supplemental.
  • Hazard Mitigation Plans Program: Adjusts program eligibility requirements.
  • Resilient Communities Program: Expands eligible activities to include Comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plans.
The amendment is available for review at https://recovery.texas.gov/public-notices. All comments should be submitted to cdr@recovery.texas.gov by 5:00 p.m. on April 19, 2024, to be considered. Per federal requirements, the GLO must respond to public comments before the amendment can be sent to HUD for final approval.
