Sen. Cruz: Biden Administration’s Failure To Develop a Plan To Get Americans Out of Afghanistan Is Unacceptable

"President Biden should have already had a plan, and now he must reassure the American people that his whole administration is working on creating and implementing one immediately.”

Texas Insider Report: Washington, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement after multiple Biden-Harris officials today declined to confirm or clarify plans to ensure the evacuation of every American citizen in Afghanistan:

“President Biden’s administration couldn’t confirm today they’ve developed a plan for getting all Americans out of Afghanistan or continuing evacuations after August 31. This is completely unacceptable. President Biden and his advisers need to stop pointing fingers and playing blame games, and focus on getting all of our citizens out.

“Many other members of Congress and I have organized our staffs and resources to provide any and all assistance possible for constituents, their families, and others who are trying to get out of the country. President Biden should have already had a plan, and now he must reassure the American people that his whole administration is working on creating and implementing one immediately.”
