Lt. Gov. Patrick Appoints Creighton, Springer & Signorelli to Capital Project Oversight Commission

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – "It is essential that public institutions of higher learning have clear and concise guidelines for campus construction projects. I have complete confidence that my appointees will make insightful recommendations for review," said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, announcing his appointments of Sen. Brandon Creighton, Sen. Drew Springer, and Danny Signorelli of The Woodlands to the Capital Project Oversight Advisory Commission.

The Capital Project Oversight Advisory Commission consults with the Legislative Budget Board (LBB) and the Texas Comptroller to develop model guidelines to be considered by university systems and public institutions of higher education for procurement and construction related to capital construction assistance programs.
 
  • Sen. Brandon Creighton, R-Conroe, currently serves as the State Senator for District 4, and is the Chairman of the Senate Committees on Education and Higher Education. Previously, he served in the Texas House of Representatives.
  • Sen. Drew Springer, R-Muenster, currently serves as the State Senator for District 30. He previously served in the Texas House of Representatives.
  • Danny Signorelli is the CEO of the Signorelli Company, a real estate development firm located in The Woodlands, Texas. He is a member of the Fort Bend County Economic Development Council, a general partner member of the Greater Houston Partnership, and member of the Greater East Montgomery County Council. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
The commission will deliver legislative recommendations and a report on model guidelines to the Governor, Lt. Governor and Speaker of the House of Representatives by December 1st.
