Governor Greg Abbott today issued a statement following the Dallas ICE facility shooting and Senator John Cornyn responded with statements on X to the Wednesday shooting at an immigration facility in Dallas. "We are a nation defined by our value for peaceful discourse, and our respect for law and order. In other parts of the world, political violence grips countries after every change in leadership, strangling their nation, and putting lives at risk every day."
Let me be clear: if a shutdown occurs, it will be because of the Democrats and their reckless spending demands. Their last-ditch proposal would have piled on an additional $1.4 trillion in wasteful spending and dismantled much of President Trump’s progress. While Republicans are working to fund the government responsibly, Democrats continue to push their progressive wish list that the American people have already rejected.
Under federal regulations finalized during the first Trump administration, legal hemp must be tested for total delta-9 THC, which includes both THC and its precursor, THCA. Texas law, however, remains unclear, and some argue only requires testing for delta-9 THC. This lack of clarity has created “loopholes” in state law which have allowed retail stores to sell marijuana masquerading as hemp that would be illegal to harvest in all 50 states per federal regulations.

As I watched President Donald J. Trump eviscerate the United Nations and the feckless and cowardly leaders of Europe during his remarks before the United Nations General Assembly, two decades-long beliefs were validated. The first being that Trump is a once-in-a-century leader with spot-on instincts. The second being that the United Nations is not only an echo chamber for far-left socialists and anarchists seeking to weaken and undermine the United States of America, but often the epicenter. Most especially in the “Age of Trump.”
Former FBI Director James Comey may be charged in the next few days over alleged false statements he made about not authorizing the leaks of classified information to the New York Times and other news sources. The news comes two weeks after former Comey adviser and Columbia University law professor Daniel Richman was subpoenaed as part of a criminal probe, and was first reported by MSNBC.
For all the media spin about Donald Trump dragging down the GOP, at the moment CNN’s own data guru pretty clearly believes what Democrats fear the most: Voters don’t trust Democrats, and do trust Republicans on the issues that decide elections – and Republicans are stronger now than they were in 2022 when they took back the House. “Whatever Democrats are doing, it ain’t working. Republicans have the lead on all three issues.”
Perhaps the Left was hoping for a festival of anger and fear from Charlie Kirk’s remarkable Memorial Service Sunday afternoon. What they got instead was Revival & Hope – and on a scale rarely seen in human history. More than anything, what came out at the Kirk service was faith – the kind the United Sates of America was founded on. Over 277,000 devices registered in and around State Farm Stadium, and there were over 100 million streams overall worldwide.
At Sunday’s memorial service in Glendale, Arizona – by all estimates attended by well over 100,000 people, including some 15,000 who gathered in an adjacent overflow stadium – Erika Kirk spoke movingly about her husband Charlie's mission to reach young men who felt adrift. And in heart-wrenching, memorial tribute, said she forgave the man accused of taking his life.
Leftist comedian Bill Maher tried to trap Border Czar Tom Homan this weekend with the standard liberal fantasy: Just give amnesty to the millions of Illegal Immigrants already in the country. Homan shredded the idea piece by piece – and his reasoning was so airtight, even Maher’s leftist crowd applauded. It’s not every day you see progressives cheer for enforcement, but Tom Homan doesn’t mince words.
Charlie Kirk’s former Chief of Staff Mikey McCoy summed it up best. “Charlie’s assassin thought he could steal and silence his voice by putting a bullet in his neck. But in the words of Soren Kierkegaard, ‘The tyrant dies, his rule is over. The martyr dies, his rule has just begun.’” Think about it: While Erika Kirk was forgiving her husband’s assassin, the killer’s allies continued their hate fest right through his Memorial Service.
Well imagine that – Karma has come for Jimmy Kimmel, whose onscreen persona is about as big a jerk as you will find. Monday night's monologue, not a joke, asserted that Charlie Kirk was murdered by “one of them” in “the MAGA gang.” His bristling contempt for anyone right-of-center practically bursts through the screen on every show. He's just not funny, charming, or pleasant to watch.
Liberal Media Pundits & Democrat Politicians are reacting apoplectically after ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel “indefinitely” for making one of the sickest jokes possible about Charlie Kirk’s assassination. They’re warning that the 1st Amendment is "under assault," that Americans are "losing their free speech," and that the "free press" is all but gone. Don’t believe any of it. Let’s review what happened.

The South Side of Chicago is a literal "War Zone" – 617 murders and 2,000+ shootings in 2023. So you'd think that reducing crime, especially on the city's poorer-minority South Side would be a bi-partisan effort. And "racism" played a part in the brutal stabbing of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska on a light rail train in Charlotte. The people who commit such murders are the sickest of the sick – and there are more of them out there, waiting. We need to learn and find ways to stop them – before they change history again.
We're happy to hear about former West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin's act of contrition – oh but wait, that's right; the last of the now-extinct moderate Democrat breed in Congress is out trying to sell his new book... while lashing out at his former party. He says Democrats are in the grip of "ideological purity tests" and a lust for power. Manchin says it was "all in the name of advancing their agenda."
