Roger Williams: President Biden’s COVID Catastrophe Should Answer for Every One of His Failures

"He was given the tools to protect the American people but instead he has expanded government control to unprecedented levels, restricted the freedoms of millions through unconstitutional mandates, and created a labor shortage crisis."

By Cong. Roger Williams

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – When Joe Biden was Candidate Biden, he promised Americans that if he were elected President he would “shut down” COVID-19 and that all Americans would “have access to regular, reliable, and free testing.”

Now one year since his inauguration, President Biden’s only consistent result has been his failure to live up to any of his campaign promises or his own word. When on the debate stage, Biden said “anyone who is responsible for 220,000 deaths from COVID should not be president.” With over 360,000 deaths under President Biden in 2021, even with 3 safe and effective vaccines, the President should live up to his own decree and resign from office.

2021 has come and gone and the President’s latest promise to buy half a billion COVID-19 rapid test kits and distribute them to every American who requests them has proven to be an abject failure.

This week, Biden’s own staff admitted they’ve only contracted for 50 million thus far, just 10% of their promised total, with less than that 10% projected for delivery in the next 30 days. It was recently reported the Administration rejected a proposal in October that would ramp up the manufacturing and distribution of free rapid tests in time for the holidays, which could have better prepared us for what should have been a well foreseen surge in cases.

Long testing wait times and sold-out at-home tests were the hallmark of President Biden’s holiday gift to the nation.

President Biden’s failures are in clear view for all to see, and his proclivity for government overreach knows no bounds. When Biden was sworn into office he inherited three great vaccines, billions of PPEs, and thousands of ventilators. He was given the tools to protect the American people but instead he has expanded government control to unprecedented levels, restricted the freedoms of millions through unconstitutional mandates, and created a labor shortage crisis.

As public confidence in this Administration withers away, the American people must demand accountability from this Administration.

Then Candidate Biden wrote checks that he simply can’t cash, and he should be forced to answer for every one of his failures.

One year later we are not more united, safer, or more prosperous than when he took office. The American people are losing total trust in the federal government and the President’s handling of the pandemic.
