Phil King for State Senate Gains Backing of Sen. Ted Cruz

“I’ve known Phil King since when I served as Texas’ Solicitor General and know him to be grounded in constitutional principles and the rule of law. --U.S. Senator Ted Cruz

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – Building on the growing momentum since his announcement for Texas Senate just three weeks ago, Representative Phil King today announced a major endorsement from U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.

Senator Cruz said, “I’ve known Phil King since when I served as Texas’ Solicitor General and know him to be grounded in constitutional principles and the rule of law. Phil has a strong record of advocating for the unborn. With his background in law enforcement, he’s fought for tough border security. He’s passed legislation to stop the radical left from boycotting Texas’ energy industry, and authored legislation to oppose discriminatory economic campaigns against Israel, our friend and ally. He’ll be a strong conservative voice in the State Senate, and he has my full support.”

King said of Cruz's support, “It’s a true honor to earn the endorsement of Senator Ted Cruz, who is on the front lines in our nation’s capital fighting courageously every day for our freedoms. I look forward to partnering with him as a member of the Texas State Senate.”
