Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – (WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) praised the U.S. Army’s decision to give Bell Textron the contract to replace the Black Hawk helicopter with a new assault helicopter for military use.

"Over the years I’ve consistently and vociferously called on the Department of Defense to incorporate the cutting-edge work and weaponry that Bell provides into our nation’s defense capabilities, including most recently championing the Future Vertical Lift program in this year’s National Defense Authorization Act, and for such technologies to be incorporated into the Coast Guard’s capabilities in the bi-annual Coast Guard Authorization Act passed by the Commerce Committee.
