Congressman Tony Gonzales Announces Over $500K for Small Businesses in Eagle Pass

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – (EAGLE PASS, TX) – Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) announced $551,345 in funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development for Rural Business Development in Eagle Pass.

Grants will be awarded to the City of Eagle Pass for the following programs:
 
  • $500,000 for a perpetual revolving loan fund for use by local, small businesses.
  • $51,345 for the development of a business incubator.
“Small businesses are crucial to fueling our local economy,” said Congressman Gonzales. “This funding will help small business owners lease office space, get help from local business owners, and relocate within the city districts. I am proud to announce this grant that will benefit emerging rural businesses across Eagle Pass.”
