CONG. PETE SESSIONS: New Congress Moves to Confront China's Assault on U.S.

"We need to seriously confront the threat China poses, and the new Republican-led select committee will do just that.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) — “Today, Republicans began working toward protecting and strengthening America against the immediate threats we face from the Chinese Communist Party. This new Select Committee will thoroughly investigate the malicious actions the CCP has already taken – and provide solutions to protect American citizens," said Texas Congressman Pete Sessions immediately after the House of Representatives passed House Resolution 11 to stablish the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party.

The resolution which passed the House creates and instructs the select committee to provide policy recommendations on how the United States can win the economic – and technological competition with the Chinese Communist Party (CPP.)

"This vicious regime is fueling our nationwide fentanyl crisis, acquiring vast sums of our nation’s agricultural land, propagating authoritarian propaganda within universities, stealing American citizens’ intellectual property, and more," said Sessions.

"We need to seriously confront the threat China poses, and the new Republican-led select committee will do just that,” Sessions said.
