Big Tech Companies Doing Bidding of Biden Admin, says Congresswoman Greene

“I will not back down" from this "Communist-style attack on Free Speech."

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) — “Twitter, Facebook, and the rest of the Silicon Valley Cartel are working hand-in-hand with the Biden White House to censor Americans. These Big Tech companies are doing the bidding of the Biden Administration to restrict our voices and prevent the spread of any message that isn’t 'state-approved,'" said Georgia Republican Congresswoman  Marjorie Taylor Greene, blasting the social media companies over her temporary suspension from Twitter.

Twitter suspended Greene after President Joe Biden recently urged the nation's tech companies to take stronger actions against bogus claims about vaccines that are “killing people.”

Twitter imposed the 12-hour "timeout" on the Congresswoman on Monday, saying some of her tweets violated its policy against spreading misinformation that could cause harm during the CoronaVirus Pandemic.

Twitter has defended its efforts to keep dangerous misinformation about COVID-19 off its site, saying it has removed 1,000s of tweets and challenged millions of accounts worldwide.

“We took enforcement action on the account @mtgreenee for violations of the Twitter Rules, specifically the Covid-19 misleading information policy,” the company said in an email reported on by The Associated Press.

In response, Greene issued a statement saying, “I will not back down."

She also referred to the Biden Administration's recent admittance of working with Facebook and other social media companies “a Communist-style attack on free speech."

Greene appears to have been disciplined under Twitter's “strike” system, which the company launched in March, using a combination of artificial intelligence and algorithm-based machine learning that identifies content about the CoronaVirus which may be misleading enough to "cause harm" to people.

Under Twitter's “strike” system:

  • 2-3 Strikes earn a 12-hour Account Lock
  • 4 Strikes prompts a Week-Long Suspension, and
  • 5 or more Strikes can lead to a user being permanently removed from Twitter
One of Greene's more recent tweets, labeled misleading by Twitter, stated her opinion that the virus “is not dangerous for non-obese people and those under 65” years of age.

U.S. cases of COVID-19 last week increased by 17,000 nationwide over a 14-day period for the first time since late fall, and an increase in death historically follows a spike in illness. Much of the worsening problem is being driven by the delta variant first identified in India, that has since hit the United Kingdom and other countries, said U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy.
