“President Obama prefers to upend the rule of law,” says Perry
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – “The Obama Administration’s election-year tactic to bypass Congress and arbitrarily grant amnesty to potentially millions of illegal immigrants is another example of its blatant disregard for our Constitution, our rule of law and our democratic process,” said Texas Gov. Rick Perry yesterday while addressing the Obama Administration’s immigration announcement.
“The laws of this nation are not open to selective, convenient or political interpretation; they are the very foundation of our freedom, and the protections they guarantee make our nation strong and attractive to immigrants around the world – millions of whom abide by our laws and processes and seek legal entry.
“These are decisions that should be thoroughly debated within the halls of Congress.
“This Administration has failed to provide a secure border, which is essential to national security, and is instead granting blanket amnesty to those who have broken our laws. Failed border security and immigration policies have created a magnet for those who came in the first place.
“It’s clear President Obama prefers to upend the rule of law, picking winners and losers, rather than work with Congress and the American people on a sustainable, long-term solution,” said the Texas governor.

Budget Buster

Illegal aliens are costing Texas taxpayers over $8 BILLION dollars every year (which is almost the size of our Texas budget deficit).
There are over 1 million illegal aliens working illegally in Texas while there are approx. 1 million Texans who are unemployed.
Illegal aliens are costing US Taxpayers over $100 BILLION dollars every year ($1 TRILLION dollars over the 10 year federal budget).
Neither Texas nor the US Government can afford the future costs of 12 to 20 million illegal aliens who would then be eligible for food stamps, welfare, subsidized housing, free education, free grants for college.
And don’t forget, all the illegal aliens will now belong to a favored Affirmative Action minority group and will get special favored status on all jobs and government contracts.
So remind us Republicans why we should be in favor for this Amnesty when almost 70% of all Americans want mandatory e-Verify for all employers and all employees (and it only takes 60 seconds to do the computer verification and is over 97% accurate).
