Obama Administration, Homeland Security to visit Texas Border

Texas Insider Report: Washington, D.C. –

“Given that Washington Democrats like Senator Reid have a hard time understanding what ‘operational control’ of the border means, I’m encouraged to see Sec. Napolitano visit the Texas border.

“I hope Sec. Napolitano returns to Washington and relays to the President and Senate Democrats what Texans already know: Our border is not secure and the federal government has a long way to go.”

– U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), ahead of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s visit to Texas.    

Senator Cornyn serves on the Finance and Judiciary Committees.  He serves as the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee’s Immigration, Refugees and Border Security subcommittee.

He served previously as Texas Attorney General, Texas Supreme Court Justice, and Bexar County District Judge.
