If Governor “Pretty Boy” Perry had not been such a liar and sought to cover his own butt, we might still have had Major General John T. Furlow at Camp Mabry. However, egotism and self serving interests can just bulldoze right over outstanding persons who only did what Governor “Pretty Boy” Perry instructed to be done. How gauche!

MG John (Big John/JT) Furlow, yet another brilliant soldier and officer whose ultimate promise of duty to country and to his fellow soldiers dashed on the rocks of political expediency. With all due respect to the new G.O.’s in bldg #8, Texas, and the United States has lost so much on this manipulative event. In the words of Tom Horn “…I’ve never seen such a bunch of pasty-faced bastards”. Mark S. Dunlap SFC (Retired). God I’m glad I’m done.
