Congress Eliminating my Freedom & Grandchildren’s Future

Early the morning of Christmas Eve, I watched in absolute horror as the U.S. Senate betrayed my grandchildren’s future for 30 pieces of silver. The Senate vote that ended the health care debate and paved the way for final passage of the bill was made possible by sweetheart deals, carve-outs, and kickbacks aimed at bribing the few Senators who had held out against the oppression of the majority and stood up for the rights of the 61% of Americans who said they did not want this plan to pass. As a result of the votes purchased with those bribes, a trillion dollars worth of socialism is now certain to be passed by Congress before Christmas.
In 1945, my father risked his life on the shores of Iwo Jima as he fought for the preservation of the American Dream in the face of one of the greatest threats to liberty the world has ever seen. A little more than a half-century later, our country’s own elected officials have invaded our personal liberties in ways my father’s generation could never have imagined.
For the first time in our nation’s history, if this bill passes, US Citizens will be required to purchase health care or they will be fined as if they are criminals.
And it will all be paid for by an array of new taxes that sends a clear message to our children as they look towards their own futures: success and independence will be punished.
- In place of those values will be an emphasis on entitlements and the redistribution of wealth.
- They’ve taken over our system of banking.
- They’ve taken over our automobile industry.
- Now, there is little standing in their way from taking over every decision you make for your own personal health.
Despite the fact that the Tenth and Fourteenth amendments explicitly prohibit the government from ever taking such actions, we are on the verge of being more 
completely under the control of the federal government than we have ever been.
I am now more fearful of the US Congress than I am of a foreign terrorist. The worst thing a terrorist can do is take my life. But Congress is eliminating my freedom and my grandchildren’s future.
These freedoms are going to be stolen from us not by an invading foreign power or by the fear imposed by a terrorist organization, but rather by the communist attitudes of 60% of the Senate in direct opposition to the will of 60 percent of Americans.
The only good news is that its not over yet.
The bill must still survive hostile conference committee negotiations and subsequent approval by both houses. This means there is still time to bring Congress to its senses by alerting them to your outrage with your phone calls, letters, and e-mails.
But don’t stop with your Congressional representatives.
- Call your state legislators and make sure they know that you oppose our country’s crash course with unbridled socialism.
- Call your city council.
- Call your state board of education member.
- Call your friends and family in other districts and even other states and inspire them to make their voices heard in Washington.
We have to fight if we are going to take back our country, community, and our kids. It is every bit the fight my father faced at Iwo Jima, and the stakes are every bit as high.
Ronald Reagan said that freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. Don’t let this generation be the one that proves him right.
Get involved in this fight while you still have the right to do so.
At the rate the Constitution is currently being eroded, who knows how long that right will survive.

The soialist Obama, Pelosi, and the others know the American people don’t want their healthcare bill but they don’t care, The will of the people don’t mean anything to them, the Constitution they swore to uphold don’t mean anything to them. They will now try to legalize 12 to 20 million illegal aliens so they can get full government entitlements. These socialist Democrats are doing everything possibe to destroy our country. If we don’t wake up and vote out these thugs in 2010 and 2012 we won’t have a country left, we will be bankrupt.

The Beatles wrote a very popular song in the 60′s called “Revolution.” We “baby boomers” might have to experience that song in our nation first hand. What should we Christians do? Do we resist or become rugs for the socialists and communists to wipe their feet on?
Will God bless a nation that murders innocent babies, approves of homosexual marriages and adulterous lifestyles, turns a blind eye to corruption at every level of government, denies His existance and has state officials doing every thing they can to erase any trace of God in our nation’s structures, mottos, songs, creeds, holidays, money, etc.?

All that has taken place to date has been in Obama’s plans from day one! Obama and his followers couldn’t care less how people feel or what it does to hurt them or this country! He was able to snow the people with the promise of “change” to get their vote. That “change” just so happened to come at a time when people were fed up with Bush and his administration. So the people voted with an attitude of “anything but Bush change” would be better for them and the country! NOT! Too bad they didn’t heed the warnings of Obama’s very radical upbringing and friendships…they got their “change.” Unfortunately, I do not believe it was the “change” they hoped for or voted for! Now we are uncertain if we will be able to vote them all out because of Obama’s hidden agenda and secret motives of why he really wanted to be President! Well, folks, we are stuck with this nightmare—I pray that God finds it in his mercy to allow us to vote all these scumbags out of office in 2010 and 2012…..even with the threat of amnesty for illegals!
Continue to call your Representatives and Senators–NO to Cap and Trade, NO to Immigration Reform, and NO to Healthcare Reform—we must NEVER give up and NEVER forget!!!!

Debbie why haven’t our state leaders in Texas created a health plan for Texans? Why haven’t our state leaders in Texas secured our southern Texas border and protected the people of Texas?
We do not have to secede from the union in order to stand up and fulfill the obligations to our fellow Texans, we just need to elect leaders in the state of Texas and not weak politicians who blame the opposing party for all the problems while doing nothing to solve them. Lets stop looking to Washington for leadership and answers to our problems and lets start demanding them from our elected representatives in Austin. We need a strong Governor and Lieutenant Governor in Austin not the weasels we have now.
Debbie clean up the Republican party in Texas and stop accepting excuses for the rinos or we will have no other options but a person like Obama and the Democrats.
The Republicans are responsible for creating the environment that resulted in a President Obama, be careful or we will have a Governor Bill White. Texans deserve better government from the Republicans then what we have been getting, stop the divide and conquer, stop the excuses, stop blaming the Democrats, and get to work creating a Republican Party we can believe in again.

We don’t need a state or federal health care plan. We don’t need a governor to watch over us and keep us safe and secure. We do not need to be kept like helpless morons.
Open the system up, let free enterprise work, and let citizens make their choices. The government is basically you and your neighbors. Asking “government” to do it is like asking your neighbor to take care of you. Get all government out of it. Give us options, opportunities and choices.

For decades now the Dems and Repbs have spent our tax money into oblivion. Pork barrel-deficit spending until now we have a $15 trillion national debit. Every penny they spend has to be borrowed with interest adding to this debit.
More and more voters are changing their voter registration to independent and will vote in 2010 & 2012 with their strong beliefs that this president and congress must stop this type of spending. Please tell us what we tell our grand children!!

I’m not sure why someone forcing you to ensure you won’t become a burden on the system when you get sick sends the message that success and independence will be punished. But politicians will say pretty much anything these days to appeal to their constituents I guess, even if it means prostituting the memory of their fathers sacrifice on Iwo Jima for political gain.

I for one think it is time our CHILDREN and GRANDCHILDREN enjoy the benefits of a DEPRESSION so they have some REAL LIFE experiences to reflect on.
After all it’s been over seventy years since the Socialists spent over 10 years prolonging a problem caused by government interference with accelerated additional government meddling in free enterprise.
