Only Thing Warming Is the Debate
By Chuck Colson
As you probably heard, between 40 and 50 inches of snow fell in the Washington, D.C., area in early February. The record snowfall brought the entire mid-Atlantic region to a halt—paralyzing the government, this time for snow.
A Washington Post online headline captured it: “Senate climate change hearings canceled because of storm.”
The people most inconvenienced by the blizzards weren’t the residents of this region, or the senators—it was the proponents of man-made global warming. Scientists and activists insisted that people on this side of the Atlantic ignore the evidence in their driveways and, instead, trust their computer models.
Not only did they tell us that this winter’s weather didn’t disprove their global warming data, they told us that the record snows were caused by global warming. Really!
Of course, 10 years ago, they told us that, on account of the same global warming, “snow is starting to disappear from our lives.” We were told that, because of all that nasty CO2, British children “just aren’t going to know what snow is.”
Ten years later, they most certainly do. Not only British children, but children in every state except Hawaii. All of Britain, much of the rest of Europe, and the United States have experienced snowfalls this winter. The data suggests, in fact, that “snow is coming earlier and heavier than it used to.”
If all of the white stuff hasn’t left you doubting those computer models, maybe Phil Jones can help you. That would be ironic since, until recently, Jones was the director of the Climate Research Unit at Britain’s East Anglia University. He was the keeper of the data upon which the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) based its predictions—data that has been, to put it mildly, called into question.
In an interview with the BBC, Jones acknowledged that there has been no significant warming since 1995. Let me repeat that. One of the world’s leading global warming advocates says there has been no significant warming since 1995. Fifteen years.
He also indicated that there is nothing exceptional about the warming the occurred between 1979 and 1995. He even admitted that is was possible that it might have been warmer during the pre-industrial Middle Ages than it is now.
If all of that sounds familiar, it ought to. Those very points have been made by global warming skeptics and reported frequently on BreakPoint. If there has been no significant warming during a period when the models predicted exactly that, or if the world was warmer 1000 years ago before we started burning fossils fuels, then maybe these models, just maybe, are wrong.
And threatening us with global catastrophe and upsetting children with pictures of drowning animals becomes unconscionable.
Of course, neither Jones nor his fellow advocates will admit that. As Jones also acknowledged, the IPCC tends to leave “inconvenient findings” out of its reports.
Why? It’s a matter of worldview.
Activists and scientists have too much invested in human-caused global warming. For activists, it’s the threat by which they can create their version of a better world, and scientists have staked their careers and reputations on the accuracy of those computer models.
Given what’s at stake, inconvenient snow and cold has to be explained away. Assuming, that is, the people who do so can get out of their driveways.

There are scientists saying that the last time there was “some” warming of the planet was in 1995! That was 15 years ago! The earth is cooling not warming…and these fools are trying to convince us that the cooling is also a sign of global warming! Do they think we are stupid! If we believe that story we ARE stupid! The climate is always changing and it doesn’t mean that it will be the end of the earth—which we all know will end someday! NO, all these clowns see are dollart signs in their eyes, especially the fairytale-myth teller, hypocrite, Al Gore! They couldn’t care less how much it hurts this country or the American people! It sure isn’t going to hurt any of them ($$$$$)—who BTW don’t practice what they preach!!

I really CAN’T IMAGINE anyone buying the GLOBAL WARMING CRAP anymore so I’ll take this OPPORTUNITY to ALERT you to the DEMON’S in action again:
THE BACHMANN BULLETIN
Congress Will Implement “Trick” to Pass Health Care Reform
Well, so much for a bipartisan strategy session on health care. Despite calls from the White House about bringing Republicans to the table to get their ideas into the debate, it looks like Democrats have already decided on a plan to pass their original legislation. Legislation Americans have soundly rejected from coast to coast.
Speaking at the National Health Policy Conference hosted by Academy Health and Health Affairs, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s senior health care adviser Wendell Primus said that Democratic leaders in Congress will implement a legislative “trick” to pass their very unpopular version of health care reform.
Mark Tapscott with the Washington Examiner writes that Congress Daily, which originally published the story, is a subscription-only publication, but provided a link to LifeNews.com, which provided these details:
“In comments reported by Congress Daily, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s top health care aide Wendell Primus admitted top Democrats have already decided on the strategy to pass the Senate’s pro-abortion, government-run health care bill.
“Primus explained that the Senate will use the controversial reconciliation strategy that will have the House approve the Senate bill and both the House and Senate okaying changes to the bill that the Senate will sign off on by preventing Republicans from filibustering.
‘The trick in all of this is that the president would have to sign the Senate bill first, then the reconciliation bill second, and the reconciliation bill would trump the Senate bill.
“’There’s a certain skill, there’s a trick, but I think we’ll get it done,’ Primus said.”
Why propose a televised, bipartisan meeting on February 25th if the underlying plan has been to pass the Democrats’ original health care proposal all along? Well, it’s simple. President Obama wants to give the appearance of bipartisan cooperation without really caring at all. It’s one PR stunt after another with this White House, and this latest action is a clear assault on the intelligence of the American people.
The Democratic leadership of this Congress and White House simply refuses to take no for an answer when it comes to a government takeover of your health care. They simply refuse to consider any idea being proposed by me or any of my Republican colleagues. Is this the leadership you want in Washington, or more importantly, the leadership you deserve?

Between 95 to 97 percent of the CO2 released to the atmosphere is produced by mother nature from decomposition of dead animal and vegetable matter, and volcanoes. Man releases 3-5 percent of the CO2. Even with a 20 percent reduction in man-made CO2 emissions, the effect would be to reduce total CO2 emissions, by 0.6%-1.0%, an amount that could hardly be detected, and would not produce a detectable change in the Earth’s temperature. Thus, a simple, back-of-the-envelope calculation 20 years ago would have destroyed any argument for saving the planet by reducing man-made CO2 emissions.

Just a note, Chuck; children in EVERY State of the Union (INCLUDING Hawaii) have experienced snow this winter – the first time in recorded history. Anyone who has been at the top of Mauna Loa or Mauna Kea on the Big Island can testify that it does indeed snow in Hawaii.
