Hank Gilbert Support Continues To Grow
Elected Democrats and Democratic Groups Endorse the Only Serious Candidate
Austin, TX-Democratic candidate for commissioner of agriculture, Hank Gilbert is continuing to pick up near unanimous support from his fellow Democrats. His endorsements come from all over the state and represents what Gilbert refers to as “serious mainstream Democrats.”
For a contested primary, Hank is receiving unparalleled Democratic endorsements across the State.
State Representative, Eddie Rodriguez remarked of Gilbert, “He’s the real thing. He’s a serious candidate with serious proposals for Texas. It’s unfortunate, but his opponent, Mr. Friedman, is a political opportunist who believes that simply calling himself a Democrat makes him eligible for our party’s nomination. Mr. Friedman has not proven himself. Hank Gilbert has.”
Of the broad support that he is receiving, Gilbert says, “I’m extremely proud to have the support of so many individuals and groups who represent solid Democratic values in this state. It is truly humbling.”
Gilbert is running for his party’s nomination against entertainer Kinky Friedman. Previously, Friedman ran as a Republican in a Kerr County race and as an Independent in the last gubernatorial race, ultimately helping to re-elect Rick Perry.
