If Texas Politicians Gave Santa a Wish List …

Mostly tongue-in-cheek & in holiday festivity
By Stephen Raines, Texas Insider TV Political Analyst

From the Desk of Santa Claus:

Proving Texas Insider finds information about Texas politics no one else has, Santa provided us with items on the wish list for several politicians.   President Barack Obama - Passage of any health care bill.  Just one victory besides the unearned Nobel Peace Prize would be nice for the year.

U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison - A message for why she should be governor that resonates with Texas Republican primary voters, some magical maneuvers to get credit for killing President Obama’s health care and climate change bills, and a time machine to take her back to vote against the TARP government bailout of Wall Street, more money for the campaign and a national cornyn-huchisonchampionship for her beloved Longhorn football team.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn - Same magical maneuvers as KBH, Democrats approval ratings nationally to continue to drop, great Republican candidates for US Senate across the country, and more money for his role as chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

US Congressman Pete Sessions - Same as Cornyn except change Senate for Congressional candidates and his role as chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee.

perry-rickGovernor Rick Perry - Continued growth of his lead in the polls, the quick arrival of primary day, more money and endorsements for the campaign, and improvement for his beloved Aggie football team.

Debra Medina - A seat at the table for the Republican gubernatorial debates in order to strengthen her chance to play spoiler.

mayor-bill-whiteHouston Mayor Bill White - A withdrawal from the last Democrat in his way to the nomination for governor, lots of campaign money, but all he really wants is Governor Perry for his opponent in the general election.  Democrats like their chances against Perry rather than KBH.

Farouk Shami - A new campaign staff, heightened vanity of hair care product users so the company stock will soar, since he’s promising to drop $10 million in the next two months into the campaign, and a miracle that Texas Democrat primary voters will choose a guy named Farouk Shami over the great White hope.

david-dewhurstLieutenant Governor David Dewhurst - A long happy marriage with his bride Trish, and a state senator that desires and shows the rare skills to chair the new Senate Select Committee on Redistricting.

Attorney General Greg Abbott - The resignation of KBH, the appointment of Dewhurst to the US Senate, and the State Republican Executive Committee selection of Abbott as the nominee for Lieutenant Governor.

susan-combs2Comptroller Susan Combs - Her predecessor to file for comptroller so Combs can claim credit for officially ending the political career of Democrat- turned- Republican- turned- independent- maybe-turned- Democrat again Carole Keeton-McClellan-Rylander-Strayhorn with a victory in November.

Carole Strayhorn - A short memory for Texas Democrat, independent and Republican voters about her fickle nature in choice of political parties.

jerryPatterson6Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson - The ad says it all. DWM seeking a companion/opponent.  Patterson wishes Strayhorn or Kinky would challenge him.

Ag Commissioner Todd Staples - Kinky to win the Democrat primary. Hank Gilbert might actually know something about agriculture. Kinky knows murder mysteries, animal rescues and music.  Who wouldn’t want to debate Kinky if nothing other than for fun?

Kinky Friedman - Increased book sales from entrance into the rural book market.  Does Kinky really want to win?  Would you give up touring with the Texas Jewboys and writing murder mysteries to hand out grants to farmers and ranchers?

Hank Gilbert - Some official somewhere to declare Kinky ineligible to serve as Ag Commissioner and remove him from the ballot.

victorcarrilloRailroad Commission Chairman Victor Carrillo - Good health and a quick recovery.

Santa faces a bit of a dilemma since several politicians had the same request for a limited edition item.

Railroad Commissioners Michael Williams & Elizabeth Ames Jones, State Senator Florence Shapiro, Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert, former Secretary of State Roger Williams & former Comptroller John Sharp – All asked for the resignation of KBH and appointment to the US Senate.

Straus-Joe-SpeakerSpeaker Joe Straus - No list to Santa since Straus is Jewish.

Former solicitor general Ted Cruz - The same list as Abbott with one addition, the selection of Ted Cruz to replace Abbott on the ballot for AG.

Texas Republican Party & campaign donors – For either KBH or Perry to back down to the other thus saving the party and donors some money for the fall, and for peace, love, harmony and mostly forgiveness after the primary.

Texas Democratic Party - A message that moves voters (same request since 1998) and any statewide elected Democrat (this is actually on the Texas Democratic Party Holiday List at http://www.txdemocrats.org/contribute/).

Texas Voters - A respectful campaign season that focuses on real issues not personal attacks, and the end of the economic down turn with a return to prosperity and work.

Merry Christmas & Happiest of New Years!

YOU really missed the boat on TEXAS VOTERS
1. Texas voters have little or NO respect for most Texas Politicians and parties anymore.
2. This is a result of the politicians and parties having almost NO RESPECT for the voters.
3.Texas voters are sick and tired of LIES the want and DEMAND the TRUTH.
4. Texas voters WANT VOTER ID and if any candidate wants to be disrespectful to those who used political chicanery to STOP IT they will be widely applauded for doing so.
5. Also the voters realize that wishing for Santa to deliver sounds like more of the same
every year all we get a lump of coal while our politicians jet around oblivious to the REALITY the voters live with.
SO SANTA
Give KBH and JOHN CORNYN insight as to what really goes on while they live in a dreamworld.
Give Ted Cruz or Greg Abbott the backbone and drive that Marco Rubio has so they will skip right to the top and run for senate.
Give the two political parties a WAKE UP call that POLITICS as USUAL isn’t anymore.
Give the voters the insight to contribute directly to candidates and choose candidates they want NOT those the party wants.
For all those lame political hacks that aspire to representing Texas in the Senate a real primary with SOMEONE worth voting for.
For Rick Perry the opportunity to be the first president of the Republic of Texas.
For Speaker Joe Straus a replacement that understands if you want something you stand up
and fight DO NOT bend over and get your @$$ kicked.
For KINNY a shot a the big time……………………….actually Jesse Ventura was a better governor than Al Franken is a Senator.
For Debra Medina the realization that the Texas Insider offers her a forum for her views that is NOT taking advantage of.

Texas and the Federal government should have as number one priority jobs for Americans. If we deport 12 million illegal aliens that would be a good start, they are holding jobs Americans need. 57 % of the people are against government healthcare but the liberal socialist are pushing on anyway, Reid says once it’s implemented and the people see how good it is they will like it, what an idiot. we need to remember all the hold outs like landreau of Louisiana, Nelson and Leiberman who are using their vote to buy more pork in the healthcare bill for their constituency back home, their vote is for sale. Liberals, Socialist, Crooks and extortionist are all we the people have representing us. Wake up America, vote them all out in 2010 and 2012.

TEXAS VOTERS: Wish for Texas to rise up and become our own nation again. We have this “stuff” called energy and oil now, that we kind of didn’t know about back in 1845. ;) (energy, oil, gas, infrastructure, MONEY!!!) One can only dream……

These rotten DUMBORATS like everything they have been doing all along…first, lying to the American people, doing things behind closed doors in secret, and passing bills in the wee hours of the morning! Now, they have met our expectations of being the spineless scumbags we all think they are and passed that healthkill bill…AND…in the wee hours of the morning! They are the “GRINCHES” “SCRIOOGES” and thieves of the spirit of CHRISTMAS……..but they will NEVER be able to take away or diminish the AMERICAN SPIRIT of FREEDOM and LIBERTY FOR ALL! Like John McCain said last night while debating this horrible nightmare they are ramming down our throats….THIS FIGHT HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN!! GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS…..GOD BLESS OUR SENOR CITIZENS……GOD BLESS TEXAS……GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU……GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

John McCain may have said that but he is one of the reasons our nation is in the shape it is in now. So I hail no praises to this spineless little nothing.

I’m starting to come to the conclusion that anytime a moderate, progressive, liberal, socialist or communist says something nice about Texas is because they know we are the second more populated state in the Union and that translates into the second most electorial votes. Another article in this Texas Insider said that Texans are 43% conservative and 17% liberal. So when people pander to this conservative state when we all know they’re liberal, just think of votes and electorial votes. I’m not going to let them tickle my ears and say to me what they think I want them to say. Very few politicians will present a Christian message and platform for their campaigns because they fear the multi-culturalists more than they fear God. PATHETIC!
