South Texas Senators say South Texas Should Stay Sharp!

john-sharpInfluential State Senators Eddie Lucio, Jr. and Juan ‘Chuy’ Hinojosa this week endorsed John Sharp as Texas’ next United States Senator, saying that Rio Grande Valley families need a ’son of South Texas’ working for them in Washington.

“John Sharp is uniting South Texas behind his call for positive change,” Senators Lucio and Hinojosa said in a joint statement.  “From health care to jobs, John’s mainstream agenda is a perfect match for our communities.”

Lucio and Hinojosa together represent the area from McAllen to Brownsville to Corpus Christi, one of the most dynamic and fastest growing regions in the country.  Their endorsement, along with the strong support of State Senator Leticia Van de Putte of San Antonio, immediately added to John’s growing momentum in the yet-to-be-scheduled special election to replace U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Survey by leading business group shows John coming on strong!
According to top political newsletter Quorum Report, the Texas Association of Business polled its members this week with an online preference survey.  Although unscientific, the results indicated which candidates might have broad appeal in a special election to replace U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison – and which candidates might not.

Total 935 votes cast.

David Dewhurst             22.46%
John Sharp                  20.86%
Roger Willliams              17.75%
Elizabeth Ames Jones     14.76%
Michael Williams            11.02%
Florence Shapiro              6.63%
Bill White                        6.52%

Still time to make a positive difference for women’s Health!
October was National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but we can all still make a positive difference by donating generously to proven programs that help Texas women who may be at risk secure the medical tests they need.  It may be November, but breast cancer continues to affect thousands of women throughout our state.

So thanks to everyone who has gotten involved, no matter how big or small your financial contribution.  Rest assured that every penny goes toward keeping women safe and helping them and their loved ones make it through what can be very trying times.

As co-founder and treasurer of Texans to Cure Cancer, which passed the largest anti-cancer initiative in state history, John will stay involved.  You can, too.  Click here to help one innovative program – the b Club’s Breast Cancer Emergency Support Fund – keep raising awareness about breast cancer and providing short-term financial and social services support to Central Texans living with breast cancer.  Or find out more information at  www.johnsharp.com

I’m IMPRESSED with an endorsement from the RGV frauds.
I wonder how many dead people and illegals will vote for JOHN?
Maybe some of those don’t have birth certificates because they couldn’t find a mid wife to forge documents.
Eddie’s working on getting a government office in MCALLEN to speed things up:)
But has concerns over a voter ID BILL…………………………I wonder why?

Why would anyone vote for a warmed-over political has-been like John Sharp? He’s run for just about everything but dogcatcher over the last decade without success. We do not need another Harry Reid syncophant in Washington D.C. destroying our republic.

John Sharp is a joke!
