Republicans Bring Knife to Gunfight & Lose Again

I Still Hate You, Sarah Palin
By David Kahane

sarah-palinOne of the most terrifying moments of my political life came last summer at the Republican convention in St. Paul. No, I don’t mean seeing John McCain careering around the Xcel Energy Center like Eyegore in Young Frankenstein, as he reached across the aisle to his erstwhile friends in the media and got his hand bitten off. Rather, I’m referring to the aftermath of Sarah Palin’s outrageous acceptance speech, which whipped up the Rotary Club delegates into a frenzy of white-boy fury that not even heckling by a brave Code Pink embed could deter.

Truly a fascist classic and one that sent shivers down our collectivist spines.

Even worse was the glaze of horror on the phizzes of the assembled heroes of the Mainstream Media. Andrea Mitchell — yes, the very same Andrea Mitchell, NBC News, Washington, whose employer saw no conflict of interest at all when she married then Fed pooh-bah Alan Greenspan — stood there gaping like a frog while the rest of the assembled Finemans and Matthewses and Olbermanns scurried around like roaches when the light gets turned on: What the hell just hit us?

For one horrible moment, it looked as if the carefully crafted plans of David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, George Soros, and the Second Chief Directorate, first department, of the old KGB were about to gang agley.

johnmccainNot only were we offended at the sheer effrontery of McCain’s pick: How dare the Republicans proffer this déclassée piece of Wasilla trailer trash whose only claim to fame was that she didn’t exercise her right to choose? Where were her degrees from Smith or Barnard, her internships at PETA, the Brookings Institution, or the Young Pioneers?

We were also outraged that the Stupid Party had just nominated a completely unqualified candidate nobody had ever heard of, a first-term governor of Alaska whose previous experience consisted of a small-town mayoralty. As opposed to our guy, Barry Soetoro of Mombasa, Djakarta, and Honolulu, a first-term senator nobody had ever heard of, whose previous experience had been as a state senator (D., Daley Machine) in Illinois.

After eight long, illegitimate, lawless years of &*^%BUSH$#@! tyranny, how dare you contest this election?

And so the word went out, from that time and place: Eviscerate Sarah Palin like one of her field-dressed moose.

Turn her life upside down. Attack her politics, her background, her educational history.

Attack her family. Make fun of her husband, her children.

Unleash the noted gynecologist Andrew Sullivan to prove that Palin’s fifth child was really her grandchild.

nytimesHit her with everything we have: Maureen Dowd of the New York Times, taking a beer-run break from her quixotic search for Mr. Right to drip venom on Sister Sarah; post-funny comic David Letterman, to joke about her and her daughters on national television; Katie Couric, the anchor nobody watches, to give this Alaskan interloper a taste of life in the big leagues; former New York Times hack Todd “Mr. Dee Dee Myers” Purdum, to act as an instrument of Graydon Carter’s wrath at Vanity Fair.

Heck, we even burned her church down.

Even after the teleological triumph of The One, the assault had to continue, each blow delivered with our Lefty SneerTM (viz.: Donny Deutsch yesterday on Morning Joe), until Sarah was finished.

You know what? It worked! McCain finally succumbed to his long-standing case of Stockholm Syndrome (“My friends, you have nothing to fear from an Obama presidency”), Tina Fey turned Palin into a see-Russia-from-my-house joke, “conservative” useful idiots like Peggy Noonan and Kathleen Parker hatched her, and finally Sarah cried No más and walked away.

If we could, we’d cut off her head and mount it on a wall at Tammany Hall, except there is no more Tammany Hall unless you count Obama’s Tony Rezko–financed home in Chicago. And it took only eight months — heck, Sarah couldn’t even have another kid in the time it took us to destroy her. That’s the Chicago way!

Yes, my friends, it’s once again time to quote Sean Connery’s famous speech from The Untouchables, written by David Mamet — the lecture the veteran Chicago cop gives a wet-behind-the-ears Eliot Ness (Kevin Costner, back when he was a movie star) while they sit in a church pew.

“You want to get Capone? Here’s how you get him: he pulls a knife, you pull a gun, he sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That’s the Chicago way!”

reidpelosiIf you just think of us — liberal Democrats — as Capone you’ll begin to understand what we’re up to. And we just put one of yours in the morgue.

I don’t know why I’m telling you this, but maybe now you’re beginning to understand the high-stakes game we’re playing here.

This ain’t John McCain’s logrolling senatorial club any more. This is a deadly serious attempt to realize the vision of the 1960s and to fundamentally transform the United States of America.

This is the fusion of Communist dogma, high ideals, gangster tactics, and a stunning amount of self-loathing.

For the first time in history, the patrician class is deliberately selling its own country down the river just to prove a point: that, yes, we can!

This country stinks and we won’t be happy until we’ve forced you to admit it.

In other words, stop thinking of the Democratic Party as merely a political party, because it’s much more than that. We’re not just the party of slavery, segregation, secularism, and sedition. Not just the party of Aaron Burr, Boss Tweed, Richard J. Croker, Bull Connor, Chris Dodd, Richard Daley, Bill Ayers, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and Emperor Barack Hussein Obama II.

Not just the party of Kendall “Agent 202” Myers, the State Department official recruited as a Cuban spy along with his wife during the Carter administration. Rather, think of the Democratic Party as what it really is: a criminal organization masquerading as a political party.

If you had any sense, you would start using our tactics against us. After all, you have a few lawyers on your side.

Sue us. File frivolous ethics complaints against all our elected officials until, like Sarah, they go broke from defending themselves. (David Paterson would be a good place to start.)

obama-barakChallenge the constitutionality of BO2’s legion of fill-in-the-blank czars — none of whom have to be confirmed, or even pass a security check. (Come to think of it, neither did Barry.)

Let slip your own journalistic dogs of war, assuming you have any, to find Barry’s birth certificate, his college transcripts, whether he applied to Occidental as a foreign student, and on which passport he traveled in 1981 to Pakistan with his friend Wahid Hamid, for starters.

You might also want to think about interviewing New York literary agent Jane Dystel, who

  1. contacted the totally unknown Obama in the wake of an adulatory New York Times piece in 1990 and
  2. got him a $125,000 advance for a memoir that
  3. he couldn’t write, even after a long sojourn in Bali, which
  4. got the contract canceled, whereupon
  5. Dystel got him $40,000 from another publisher, following which
  6. the book finally came out to glowing reviews and
  7. Obama fired her.

Wouldn’t she have an interesting story to tell?

Of course, you won’t. You’re too nice, too enamored of history and tradition to realize that the rules have changed.

Remember, I live and work in a town where, “Hello, he lied,” isn’t a joke; we men of the Left are perfectly comfortable lying, cheating, and stealing — hello, Senator Franken! — in order to attain and keep political power.

Not for nothing is one of our mottos, “By Any Means Necessary.”

You see, we’re the good guys, and for us the ends always justify the means. We are, literally, shameless, which is why Bill Clinton is now a multi-millionaire and Eliot Spitzer is already on the comeback trail.

In Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, “the fourth rule is: Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.” This is the book that “Reset” Rodham (what ever happened to her?) and BHO II grew up reading and continue to live by.

If you don’t understand that that’s the way we see you — as the enemy — then you’re too dumb to survive. Remember that for us politics is not just an avocation, or even just a job, but our life.

We literally stay awake nights thinking up ways to screw you. And one of the ways we do that is by religiously observing Alinsky’s Rule No. 4.

Did Sarah stand for “family values”? Flay her unwed-mother daughter.

Did she represent probity in a notoriously corrupt, one-family state? Spread rumors about FBI investigations.

Did she speak with an upper-Midwest twang? Mock it relentlessly on Saturday Night Live.

Above all, don’t let her motivate the half of the country that doesn’t want His Serene Highness to bankrupt the nation, align with banana-republic Communist dictators, unilaterally dismantle our missile defenses, and set foot in more mosques than churches since he has become president.

We’ve got a suicide cult to run here. And that’s why Sarah had to go.

dem-logoWhether she understood it or not, she threatened us right down to our most fundamental, meretricious, elitist, sneering, snobbish, insecure, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders bones. She was, after all, a “normal” American, the kind of person (or so I’m told) you meet in flyover country.

The kind that worries first about home and hearth and believes in things like motherhood and love of country the way it is, not the way she wants to remake it.

What you clowns need, in other words, is a Rules for Radical Conservatives to explain what you’re up against and teach you how to compete before it’s too late.

Luckily, since I care about money even more than I care about politics, I have just such a book in the proposal stage, currently making the rounds of various publishers, assuming any of them are wise enough to take me up on it.

And, yes, this time it really is personal.

— David Kahane is pushing for a new national holiday to commemorate the destruction of Sarah Palin, and is hopeful that his senators, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, will co-sponsor it, along with Henry Waxman in the House. You can second the motion at kahanenro@gmail.com or on Facebook.

This is exactly right, exactly how he spelled it out for all to see and hear, for he knows the majority will either never read it , or they will ignore it and do nothing. This is why, WE, the Conservatives, must fight. Not only just fight back, but, TAKE the FIGHT to Them. Sarah knows the Republicans are wimps, she has to move outside parties, and join the Grass Root Conservatives. HOOYAH There is now in the planning stage, STATE WIDE TEA PARTIES, all 50 states, all the same day next April, 2010. Not cities, but State wide on the Steps of each Capitol. Buses will be chartered. Plan now on attending.

Thanks Again Gil for publishing the best articles out there.
David once again really BUSTS the myth surrounding the low lifes that have taken over the Democrat Party………………………..I especially like Sean Connery’s advice to Elliot Ness:
“You want to get Capone? Here’s how you get him: he pulls a knife, you pull a gun, he sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That’s the Chicago way!”
It is time to fight BACK if the REPUBLICAN’S don’t get it……then it’s time to replace them with those that will follow the advice of Sean Connery.

BRENDA the TEA PARTIES need to get TOUGH you don’t get in a fire fight with a pea shooter.

You’re an idiot. Many people love Palin and I will stand with her whatever she decides to do. Who do you think you are? When it is all said and done, most people really don’t care what you have to say or write about!!

For Anna,
This piece was read over Rush today by the sit in host. It is written from a leftwing point of view. It’s a great work and true…now get up and get the same strength as Sarah to do the job that needs to be done.

Anna, the man is giving a lesson in Democratic politics 101. He’s saying if Republicans want to win they must roll around in the mud and become lower than whale dung just like the democrats. What bothers me is they’ll probably never do it.

You have to separate the Republicans from the Conservatives…..I keep posting here that the Republican Party is not walking away, but running away from Conservatives. The Republicans are using all the tools they have to talk the American public into becoming more moderate in hopes that they can gain enough control of government to push the agenda of the US Chamber of Commerce. They DO NOT care about conservatives, and do not want to win with conservatism as its core group or platform. It is becoming evident that the reason they picked Sarah Palin was for her pure form of conservatism, in hopes that they might get enough of us off the couch and into the voting booth to push them over the top one more time. They frankly are very upset that the Conservative base stopped the Amnesty and Dubia Port deals in the latter portion of the Bush administration. I must say that they are setting themselves up quite nicely. With the things that are going on in the Democrat party and the direction they are taking this country, it won’t be long before anyone with an R behind their name will win on election day. That spells trouble for conservatives, unless we realize once and for all, that a Repubulican is NOT necessarily conservative.

Paul is right. And since so many Republicans, especially here in Texas, are just former Democrats, I say let them return to their roots like ol’ Arlen Specter. I know, Arlen Who?? Time to get serious, folks!

Good piece. LOVE the Chicago reference–time to put ‘em in the morgue.

Let’s hope we can vote them all out in 2010 and put fresh strong conservatives in their places! The reason I say let’s hope is because if Obama’s Immigration Reform bill passes (amnesty for all illegals), it may be difficult to do that! So, it is important that everybody get off their duffs and vote!!!

Paul, David, SJK, people like you scare me – not because you are conservative (I also am conservative) – but because you are politically naive. Conservatives will not win if they split off from the Republican Party.

The only hope that conservatives have, that the Tea Party folks have (God bless and strengthen them) is to unite with the Republican Party.

This guy Kahane has it right – the Democrats are ruthless and if the ends justify the means, then they are willing to do it. They will do what ever it takes to win. Just look what they did to block Voter ID in the Texas House. Look what Pelosi and Obama are doing to our country.

We are about to walk into the OK Corral of political history, and you guys are worrying if Sheriff Wyaltt Earp’s hat is white enough.

About three months ago, I sent a letter to Michael Steele, Chairman of the RNC, and in so many words told him the same thing that this article said. I was not nearly as articulate, but I told him that this was a WAR and the RNC had better wake up. You can’t play nice with the school yard bully. You have to expose him for the coward and fraud that he is. Republicans just don’t have the courage, desire, or understanding of what to do. This article says it better than I could have ever said it. We need to make copies and mail to every Republican in the Federal Government.

Paul, you are correct.

If you have ben attending the TEA Parties, you probabaly have heard the speakers say something to the effect that this is not a party issue, it is an American issue. At the TEA Parties in my home town (which is dominantly Republican), the attendees were as angry over Republican behaviour as they were over what the Democrats are doing.

Sal: You may think I am naive because I want strong conservatives to take the plae of the morons that are ruining this country and maybe our state as well! I am angry and disappointed with the Republicans and Democrats for what they are doing to all of us—-and their country! I want people in office who will mean what they say and say what they mean! People who are honest, trustworthy, with integrity, and will serve the people who put them in office and not pass bills without reading them, and be against government control of car dealerships, banks, healthcare, energy, etc. I want them to be against having the 33 CZARS this President has appointed–which I believe is unconstitutional—it is taking away our freedom of choice! I want a President in office that will not apologize to European countries—we have done nothing to apologize for! I want a President that will not call America arrogant, and bow down to a Saudia Arabian King, and buddy around with dictators like Chavez and Ortega. I want a President that won’t weaken us and open us up to attack to any country or terrorist that wants to attack us. I want officials in Congress that will stand up to this very destructive President and not allow him/her to destroy this country! I want officials in Congress that will not cave in to the pressures of their liberal peers, lobbyists, or the deals many of them can’t refuse from ACORN! If all these characteristics I expect of these officials and the President are naive, then I guess I am naive! I will support any conservative candidate (Republican or INdependent) who I feel meets these qualities! Aren’t you glad we still have a right to do that? God Bless America!

Paul

July 07, 2009

Sal,
I’m not naive, I’m right. There are certain core values that I will not move from so that a political party can use my vote to gain power, and govern in a manner counter to those values.

The only hope that the Republican Party has to ever control any branch of government, is to unite with conservatives, and govern according to the conservative platform.

By definition, Conservative is the base, there are prinicipals, that are only conservative. To move off of those principals, you can no longer be conservative. It’s that simple. The Republican Party moved off of those principals more and more as the Bush Presidency progressed, and in the end got their butts handed to them in 2006, and 2008.

The American populace is more conservative than liberal, and grew tired of the growth of government, and the extreme push for amnesty, and in the end the final nail in the coffin was the September push to rush thru the Stimulus and Bailout plans.

That runs counter to conservatives and they stayed home.

You need to be more confident in your conservatism. I don’t need a home in a party brand to know who I am. I have to stay true to my core, and focus on it, so I can find these same values in the people running for office. You find these people in the primary election. If you only come to vote in the general election, you have not only lost the war….you didn’t even show up for the battle.

I don’t know that I have anything of substance to add to the comments. But I have said this before, “EVIL DOES EXIST”. I saw these tactics and the threat of these tactics long ago when we had the Majority Leader in the House right here in Texas. They don’t take prisoners and neither should we. They use our own humanity against us just like the Taliban or any other radical group. Their “God” Franklin Roosevelt was one of the most Machiavellian characters to ever run this nation.

It’s different with them, they know what mistakes the former Socialists made. They are wiser people than their predecessors. THEY DO THINK THIS WAY. Scarry as Hell

To quote Shakespeare, “First we kill all the lawyers.” It seems that we have

now moved into the stage of national evolution when mob rule replaces the rule of law

under the constitution. The creeping loss of rights and their limits on government has

become an avalanche of new programs, taxes, and government interference. Hondurans

ousted their sitting president when he tried to extend his limited term in oppostion

to their constitution. Our president says that such an ouster, supported by the

elected representatives, and the Honduran supreme court, was wrong. One suspects his

view is colored by a bill currently in the US congress to allow him the same extended

term in office. Short of actions like the Honduran ouster by force, what can we do to

reign in the unconstitutional self-serving actions of our president and his democratic

congress?

Enough moderate Dems, and the REAL base of this countries voters, would be a winning ticket.

What more appropriate nickname for the Prez: BO …… What he is doing to this Country STINKS!

Can’t you see his Puppet Strings? How would he ever function without his trusty Teleprompter? And wasn’t he wise to “team up” with Rahm Emanuel who obviously is the one in charge.

Mr O. obviously had some dynamic help to have make it through Harvard. Obviously he has “friends” with a questionable agenda who always have friends in high places. Do the Math! it won’t take a Rocket Scientist to understand how he got to Z from A.

As for Sarah I have no comment for the moment except to say that the woman has Character and she should not be judged harshly nor underestimated b/cuz she’s no Dummy and is playing the game in her fown emme-wiz way.

It ain’t over until it’s over, Folks. So sit tight and breathless for the next Chapter in the War for Freedom and Decency remembering that God is in His Universe and is still totally in Charge no matter what we earthly Idiots choose to do.

Brenda, put it whichever way you prefer. Conservatives can’t win without Republicans, and Republicans can’t win without Conservatives. Either way, we LOSE!

The Democrats and liberals aren’t splitting apart. They are sticking together. If we split our conservative/Republican vote – - they win!

That is exactly how Clinton got in! Perot came in and bled off enough votes from the Republicans to usher in a Democrat president! It will happen again!

SJK, I don’t think you are naive because you want more conservatives. That is not naive. What IS naive is to talk about throwing everyone out. Every terrible thing you have listed has not come about by the Republicans hand. It has come about by the Democrats having complete control.

Have you watched our Republicans fighting Pelosi on CSPAN? Did you see Boehner and Barton, and many others call out the Democrats in very clear language? Did you see Barton force the Speaker to give them a copy of the 600 page amendment that was coming up for a vote, which the Republicans had not even been given a copy of?

Find good candidates, yes, but get your eyes focused on the true enemies. Unite with the Republican Party – fight for things the way you want them to be, but do not threaten to walk out. That plays straight into the Democrats hands.

We have a war on our hands, guys, and the Republicans are not the bad guys.

Just how, besides taking down Sarah Palin, did ZerObama win?

Control the money:
Raised tons of money through anonymous website donations, both far and wide. It doesn’t matter where the money came from, just as long as it went to get ZerObama in place in his “historic presidency.

Limit opponent’s money supply:
Made sure the Big Oil war chest that funded “W”’s election stayed closed, by pushing several ideas in the MSM. “Blood for Big Oil” aka “anti-war in Iraq”. “Big Oil greed is the reason our gasoline is so high”. “Big Oil is destroying the environment and causing Global Warming” to prompt much needed regulation and taxes. Therefore, they were divided and conquered.

Select opponent:
McCain was the one and only MSM darling amongst a field of very strong candidates, of which he was among the very weakest…”W” beat him handily…makes sense that ZerObama could.

Image control:
MSM was very much in bed with ZerObama from the very first. Every article, interview, and “news” report was glowing. No honest investigation going on here. Using willing accomplices, convince all that “This is our time” and encourage them with bumpersticker slogans…”Yes, we can!”…etc…

Voter round-up:
Get young and old, live or dead, registered to vote and make sure those votes were cast early and often.

Don’t forget the promised pay-off:
You’ll get yours…happy ZerObama supporters, “I don’t have to worry about filling my gas tank or paying my mortgage”. All backed by the “full faith and credit of the Federal Government”. Bailouts for Wall Street, banking & mortgage industry, automakers & labor unions, stimulus for shovel-ready bridges to nowhere, socializing health care, making illegal immigration for all legal, etc. All will be paid back for rightly voting for ZerObama.

And perhaps others…

We Conservatives are just to honest to compete with this. Our nation is morally bankrupt. Perhaps to morally bankrupt to elect Conservatives?

Is it time for us to “mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor”? What the Declaration of Independence stated was treason to the British crown. It is quickly becoming the template for the kind of treason I may be willing to sign up for. Treason is, after all, defined by the victor.

And why not?

We are no longer properly represented by our elected officials. They have their committee appointments and seniority to think about, not to mention the next pay raise. Why bother reading the next bill…it won’t be completely written before we vote on it. The devil is in the details and I can’t see the details…must be no devil…what the heck…”Aye”!

Thanks for the great article, Mr. Kahane.

America needs a thrid party. We will call it The Conservative Party! Time to establish the platform now in time for the next election. This is not a test of church membership, but there will be core values in those planks. It will be a party for life vs death. Fiscal conservativeness vs tax and spend. Eliminate the DOE and give the power to the local government, run by the people. Put God and America’s Judeo Christian values back into the rule of law that will again guides our judicial system. If there are those who came to this country later and have other religous perswasions, so be it, that’s what freedom in America is all about, but do NOT attempt to try to push out the core values this country was founded on and its Constitution, just because you think it should change for you. Eliminate the waste in government. Get the Government out of business. Reduce government jobs by 50% by recruiting better qualified people to manage with better tools. Force the unions to either become competitive with none-union pay scale or get out of business. Lower energy costs and help American industry to become the lowest cost producers in the world! We can do that! We have all the vast natural energy resources we need right here in America (oil, clean coal, clean nuclear, natural gas, plus a host of fringe alternatives) to become 100% energy independent! Something most of our industry competitors around the world could never say of their countries. America has the advantage on every level to be number on job creator int he world again! Obama’s Cap & Tax must be defeated! We must find ways to REDUCE our energy costs to both the individual households and industry. America must regain its productive and added jobs will once again raise our standard of living to again be not only the envy of the world but an example. The American Dream is still alive, but it comes at a much higher price with our own bloated government zealot employees finding new ways every day to kill that very dream America was built on. Time for change. The Conservative Party would force a draw and a no-win for either the Dem or the Repub parties. One or the other would be forced to make a deal to win. That would mean they would have to accept a meaningful number of the Conservative Party’s planks and their VP would be the leader of the CParty! Hey, let’s work on this….!
